Breach Testing & Post-Incident Hardening

When a door has already been kicked, a window forced, or a lock defeated, you don’t need theory – you need to know exactly how it failed and how to make sure it doesn’t fail the same way twice.

What This Service Actually Does

Most “security” advice stops at theory. Breach testing takes the next step and looks at how your actual doors, frames, windows, and layouts respond when someone really tries to force them – in a controlled, safe way.

For homes that have already been hit, or have clear signs of an attempt, we also treat this as a post-incident review. We walk the path the intruder took, map what they did first, and then design hardening work that closes those exact gaps.

  • We base our testing on common criminal patterns and real-world breach behaviour – not movie tactics.
  • We stay within safe limits for your structure and clearly agree on what can and cannot be stress-tested.
  • We focus on the specific ways your home is likely to be targeted, not generic checklists.

What We Test

Every property is different, but these are the core areas we typically probe and review.

Primary Entry Points

Where most attempts start – and often succeed.

  • Front, back, and side doors.
  • Garage-to-house and secondary entries.
  • Frames, hinges, strike plates, and screws.
  • Lock selection, fitment, and basic bypass risk.

Perimeter & Yard

Perimeter Yard Web 1

How easy it is to get close and stay close without being seen.

  • Fences, gates, and easy climb or bypass points.
  • Lighting, shadows, and concealment spots.
  • Lines of sight from neighbours and street.
  • Tools and objects available on your property.

Faraday & Signal-Controlled Rooms

Faraday Signal Controlled Rooms Web 2

Spaces designed to reduce or block wireless signals and outside electronic noise.

  • Concept-level Faraday treatment for key walls or zones.
  • Controlled charging / device storage areas.
  • Integration with privacy-focused routines and habits.

Interior Movement

Interior Movement Web 1

Once someone is inside, how fast can they move – and where?

  • Hallways, stairwells, and chokepoints.
  • Bedrooms and likely first targets.
  • Current “safe” spots and rally points.
  • How sound and light travel at night.

Previous Damage Review

Previous Damage Review Web 1

For post-incident jobs, we walk the exact path of the event.

  • Where and how doors, frames, or glass failed.
  • What the intruder clearly ignored or didn’t need.
  • Obvious “this made it easier” factors.
  • Gaps in cameras, lighting, or routines.

Future Fortified Points

We also identify where you should be strongest, not just where you’re weak.

  • Best candidates for reinforced doors and frames.
  • Potential future Fortified Spaces or safe rooms.
  • Strategic choke points that slow movement.
  • Better use of lighting, cameras, and alarms.

How Breach Testing Works

We keep the process controlled, documented, and agreed in advance – no surprises, no “stress test” accidents.

  • Initial Call. You walk us through what happened (if there was an incident), what damage was done, and what you’re most concerned about now.
  • Evidence & Layout Review. We look at photos, police notes (if available), and walk the property to understand the route in and out.
  • Controlled Testing. We apply agreed, limited levels of force to specific doors, frames, or weak points to see how they actually respond.
  • Failure Mapping. We document where things give way, where they hold, and what an intruder would likely try next.
  • Hardening Plan. We translate all of that into a prioritized set of upgrades, reinforcements, and habit changes.

What You Get

  • Plain-language breach and movement summary.
  • Photos and notes on failure points and close calls.
  • Ranked list of high-impact hardening upgrades.
  • Options that fit different budget levels and timelines.
  • Integration plan with Fortified Spaces or safe rooms.

150-Point Assessment

150 Point Assessment Web 8

For homes that haven’t had a full baseline assessment yet, we can combine breach testing with the 150-point walkthrough so you get both the “how it failed” view and the broader picture.

  • Full exterior and interior review.
  • Ranking of everyday vulnerabilities.
  • Better long-term phasing for upgrades.

Bug & Camera Sweep

Bug Camera Sweep Web 1 1

If your incident involved stalking, harassment, or high-conflict separation, we can add bug and hidden camera sweeps for key rooms and vehicles.

  • Checks for hidden cameras and audio devices.
  • Vehicle tracker and RF sweeps.
  • Practical advice on digital and physical habits.

Family Safety Training

Family Safety Training Web 1

Once your hardware is stronger, we can run simple, age-appropriate drills and walk-throughs so your family knows what to do – and what not to do – if something happens again.

  • Night-time “what if” walk-throughs.
  • Clear rally points and safe paths.
  • Simple rules kids can actually remember.

Pricing & Booking

Because every breach and every home is different, breach testing and post-incident hardening are quoted based on the size of the property, the damage involved, and how deep you want to go.

  • Typical projects start around $399 + tax for smaller, single-entry incidents.
  • Multi-point breaches, complex layouts, or combined services are priced case by case.
  • You’ll see a clear scope and estimate before anything is scheduled.

If you’re local to the Langley / Lower Mainland area and you’ve just had an incident, we recommend booking as soon as the property is safe and any immediate police work is complete.

Don’t Let The Same Weak Point Fail Twice

If someone has already shown you how they can get in, that information can either haunt you – or help you. Breach testing and post-incident hardening turn it into a plan.
