Our Values

Strength, Without the Theatre

These are the lines we run ARX HomeGuard by. They decide how we design, what we recommend, who we work with, and what we refuse to sell—whether anyone is watching or not.

Core Commitments

If you strip away the tools, tech, and projects, this is what’s left. If we can’t honour these, we don’t take the work.

Reality Over Marketing

Reality Over Marketing Web

We care more about how homes fail in real incidents than how they look on a sales page.

  • Designs based on local patterns and real-world breaches.
  • Honest talk about what actually moves the needle.
  • No “for show” add-ons just to pad a quote.

Simple Over Complicated

Simple Over Complicated Web

Under stress, simple wins. We design for 3 a.m. moments, not tech demos.

  • Clear routes, clear roles, clear actions.
  • Controls you can use half-asleep and under pressure.
  • Systems you can explain to your family in plain language.

Strength Hidden in Plain Sight

Strength Hidden in Plain Sight Web

We want your home to blend in from the street – and behave nothing like the average home when tested.

  • Fortified doors, frames, and windows.
  • Discreet Fortified Spaces and routes.
  • Lighting and tech that support the plan, not ego.

How We Treat Clients

We work with people, not properties. The way we carry ourselves on your site matters as much as the hardware we leave behind.

  • Plain language, no jargon. If we can’t explain it clearly, we don’t recommend it.
  • Blunt, respectful feedback. We’ll tell you where your house is soft, without sugar-coating or shaming.
  • Respect for your time and space. Clear windows, minimal disruption, clean exits.

Non-Negotiables With Clients

  • We will not use fear to push you into upgrades.
  • We will not surprise you with hidden extras.
  • We will not disappear when you have questions.

How We Design and Recommend

Everything we suggest has to earn its place. If it doesn’t clearly serve the plan, it’s off the table.

Layered First, Gear Second

We start with layers—perimeter, shell, interior, Fortified Spaces—then pick tools to support each layer.

  • Doors and frames before cameras.
  • Routes and Fortified Spaces before apps.
  • Lighting to see and move, not just to impress.

Fit to the Family

A “perfect” plan that your family won’t use is a failed plan. We design for the life you actually live.

  • Work shifts, kids, pets, late nights, guests.
  • Different levels of comfort and capability.
  • Options that respect how you want to live, not how we think you should.

Buildable in Phases

Most good upgrades don’t happen in one hit. We give you a path you can walk over months or years.

  • Immediate fixes for obvious weak points.
  • Next-phase projects when you’re ready.
  • Optional “one-day” wins for faster momentum.

Privacy, Discretion, and Ethics

How We Handle Sensitive Information

  • Your floor plans, routines, and vulnerabilities are treated as sensitive by default.
  • Photos and notes are for planning and records, not for social media.
  • We do not discuss your home or situation loosely outside the work.

What We Will Not Do

Some lines are hard lines. We don’t cross them for a bigger sale or faster project.

  • We will not exaggerate threats just to scare you into action.
  • We will not recommend gear that doesn’t clearly serve your plan.
  • We will not ignore legal, safety, or ethical red flags.
Licensing, Law, and Boundaries
  • We work within BC regulations and licensing requirements for what we do.
  • We respect safe-storage rules, building codes, and trade boundaries.
  • If something is outside our lane, we say so—and point you to the right type of professional.

Our job is not to make you more afraid. Our job is to make you more prepared—and then get out of the way so you can live your life in a home that quietly has your back.

If These Values Match Yours, We’ll Work Well Together

If you want a calm, capable home built on simple, honest principles—not fear and theatrics—the next step is a straight conversation and, if it fits, a 150-point assessment of your home, yard, and vehicles.
