How We Work

We don’t sell fear and we don’t lead with gadgets. We start with how your home is actually built, how you actually live, and what keeps you up at night—then we build a simple, layered plan and execute it cleanly.

What Happens When You Contact Us

You’re not dropping into a sales funnel. You’re starting a structured process that looks the same every time.

1. Short Intake Call

We get clear on three things before anyone is booked.

  • What’s driving this now: recent incident, general concern, new move, kids, public exposure.
  • Type of property: single home, townhome, acreage, shop, or mixed.
  • Whether you need a full 150-point assessment or a targeted service.

2. Fit & Scope Check

We confirm that what you need lines up with what we do well.

  • Check that your location is within our current service area.
  • Confirm any urgency (recent break-in, active concerns).
  • Roughly size the work so you’re not surprised later.

3. Book Assessment or Project

We schedule you into one of two tracks.

  • 150-Point Home Security Assessment – full walkthrough, layered plan.
  • Targeted Service Project – e.g. bug sweep, door/window/yard hardening.
  • You receive a calendar booking and prep notes.

Ways We Work With Clients

Most clients start with an assessment, then move into focused build phases. Some come to us with a specific problem. Both are fine—as long as we’re solving the right thing in the right order.

150-Point Home Assessment

150 Point Assessment Web 6

Your full-picture baseline. We walk the home, inside and out, and document where your real weak points are.

  • Perimeter, shell, interior routes, Fortified Spaces.
  • Doors, windows, lighting, cameras, yard, vehicles.
  • Written summary with ranked recommendations.

Targeted Hardening Projects

Targeted Hardening Projects Web

Focused work on the areas that matter most for you right now.

  • Door and frame upgrades, window hardening.
  • Bug sweeps, camera sweeps, tracker sweeps.
  • Yard security, gates, secure vehicle storage.

Fortified Spaces & Long-Term Builds

Fortified Spaces Long Term Builds Web

Deeper work for clients who want a fully integrated system.

  • Safe rooms, panic rooms, and Fortified Spaces.
  • Hidden compartments, Faraday rooms, integrated lighting.
  • Phased plans you can build over months or years.

Our 5-Step Process

Whether we’re doing a bug sweep, a gate redesign, or building a Fortified Space, the bones of the process stay the same.

  • Listen & Frame the Problem. We clarify what you’re actually trying to protect – people, information, assets – and what “better” looks like for you, in plain language.
  • Walkthrough & Assessment. We walk the property, move through your routes, and look at the home the way an intruder, first responder, or targeted threat would.
  • Plan & Options. You get a short, ranked list of moves: what to do now, what to plan for later, and what’s not worth your money.
  • Build & Implement. We execute the agreed work – upgrades, installs, builds – either directly or alongside trusted trades.
  • Orient, Drill & Adjust. We walk you through how to use what we’ve built and, where appropriate, outline simple drills to make it real.

What You Leave With

  • Clear before/after understanding of your weak points.
  • A prioritized, written plan you can act on over time.
  • Specific upgrades completed, with photos and notes.
  • Simple routines and “if X, then Y” guidance.

Before, During, and After a Visit

What to expect from us and what we’ll need from you.

Before We Arrive

  • We send a confirmation with date, time, and who is coming.
  • You receive any prep requests (e.g. clear access to certain rooms, pets managed, vehicles on site).
  • If there was a recent incident, we’ll ask for any photos, reports, or timelines you’re comfortable sharing.

While We’re On Site

  •  We walk interior and exterior together, then alone where needed.
  • We take photos and notes strictly for planning and documentation.
  • We ask blunt questions and give blunt feedback — with respect, but without sugar-coating.

After the Visit

  •  You receive a summary and any agreed costed options.
  • We schedule implementation phases or leave you with a DIY roadmap.
  • We stay reachable for clarification as you start taking action.

How We Think About Security (and What We Won’t Do)

Our Operating Principles
  • Layered, not gadget-first. Perimeter, shell, interior, Fortified Spaces—gear comes after the plan.
  • Reality over fantasy. We design for how people actually move and how crime actually happens in this region.
  • Simple beats perfect. A plan you’ll actually use is better than a perfect one you’ll forget.
  • Local and grounded. We live and work in the same general area you do. We design with that in mind.

Who We’re a Good Fit For

ARX HomeGuard is built for people who want their home to quietly carry more strength and resilience than anyone would guess—without turning it into a fortress on the outside.

  • Families who want clear, simple safety moves that fit real life.
  • Business owners, public-facing professionals, or high-visibility individuals.
  • Homeowners who already know their weak points and want them handled properly.
  • Clients planning long-term properties, shops, or rural builds and wanting to “bake it in” early.

What You Get

What We Don’t Do
  • We don’t sell fear or pressure you into upgrades you don’t need.
  • We don’t claim to make you “untouchable” or promise movie-level outcomes.
  • We don’t ignore legal and code requirements or safe-storage rules.
  • We don’t disappear after installation—if something isn’t clear, we fix that.

If you just want a cheap – camera kit and a yard sign, we’re probably not your first call. If you want a real, layered plan and clean execution, that’s where we’re a fit.

Service Area & Logistics

Primary Area

We’re based in the Langley area and focus on the Lower Mainland.

  • Langley, Surrey, Abbotsford, and surrounding communities.
  • Case-by-case for Fraser Valley and beyond.
  • Travel projects outside the region by prior arrangement.

Scheduling & Timing

We schedule assessments and projects in defined blocks.

  • Half-day or full-day on-site assessment windows.
  • Project phases blocked to reduce disruption.
  • Clear timelines and windows for any intrusive work.

Coordination With Other Trades

Many projects touch electricians, carpenters, or other trades.

  • We can work with your existing contractors.
  • Or recommend trusted partners where appropriate.
  • We provide clear scopes so everyone knows their lane.

Start With a 150-Point Home Assessment

The fastest way to move from “we should do something” to a real plan is a structured walk-through of your home, yard, and vehicles. From there, we decide together what’s worth doing now—and what can wait.
